Maintenance Technician - Daytona Beach, FL

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for perform general repair and maintenance work. Must be mechanically inclined and have independent problem-solving techniques.

Job Description:

• Maintain and make general repairs furniture, woodwork, electrical system and appliances, ventilation systems, building structure and grounds.

• Painting, window washing, assembling, repairing woodwork and furniture.

• Coordinate with Store Managers and the District Manager for maintenance issues that need further efforts.

• Identify areas for improvement and solve directly or assign maintenance staff to resolve the issue such as extra (sweeping, dusting, mopping, landscaping, etc.)

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls from other locations when necessary.

• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs such as (carpentry, general labor, etc.)

• Communicate a plan of action for improvement with each store manager and district manager regarding scheduled repairs or extra repairs.

• Perform administrative duties regarding maintenance such as keeping logs of repair invoices/ current contracts, checking invoices for accuracy of repair descriptions, etc.

• Oversee equipment and maintenance supplies and place orders as needed for the business.

Job Requirements:

· At least 2-3 years of maintenance experience.

· Must possess a High School Diploma.

· Own transportation required, preferably truck or SUV.

· Valid Driver License.

· Must be knowledgeable as to maintenance policies and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions.

· Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.

· Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.

· Basic knowledge of hand tools and tool use.

· Willingness and ability to advance

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Self-motivated individual.

· Ability to lift more than 50lbs.
