Surf Thru Express Car Wash is seeking a results-driven Director of Car Wash Operations to develop, lead, and direct all site operations, ensuring top-notch service delivery across all locations.
The Director of Car Wash Operations will be responsible for driving operational excellence of our car wash facilities, and will help create, manage, and implement standards and best practices across all stores. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership capabilities and strong organizational and communication skills. This role requires strategic planning, staff management, and the implementation of effective policies and procedures to enhance performance and profitability. This is an onsite role in Bakersfield, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all car wash locations, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Possesses the knowledge, skill set, and drive to set and maintain a high standard for wash quality, team member experience, and customer experience across all stores.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues.
- Lead and manage a team of regional or site managers to ensure effective daily operations across all locations. Set objectives and evaluate the performance of regional leadership team.
- Continuously improve operational procedures to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance service delivery.
- Visit all sites and collaborate with leadership to develop, recommend, and communicate strategic changes throughout the region. Ensure car wash sites are clean, efficient, and well-maintained.
- Organize, lead, and manage recurring meetings with company leadership to discuss important updates and overall operational issues, ensuring effective communication between different levels of the organization.
- Manage a dynamic and changing workforce in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all car wash operations, including sales, service, and parts, run efficiently and align with organizational goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in operations management, ideally within the car wash or related industries, and overseeing multiple locations.
- Proven experience in team leadership and talent development, with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with team members, vendors, and executive leadership.
- A deep understanding of customer service excellence and quality control standards.
- Ability to travel to all locations (50% travel required).

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
