Description :
Assure the organization understands and is applying internal and external Quality Standards for assigned programs. Assure process controls and quality standards are coordinated and meet customer specifications as well as safety and legal requirements.
Major Duties :
- Evaluate customer quality requirements and assure they are appropriately applied to the production operations’ processes.
- Develop inspection plans and operator instructions to meet requirements.
- Develop and Document new processes as well as associated process work instructions.
- Train operators on quality and process procedures.
- Follow up product quality through the process on the shop floor including inspection over audits as necessary.
- Collect and analyze process data necessary to assure quality standards are consistently met. Recommend any changes required to aid process control.
- Assure quality and process records are maintained per Quality System requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Communicate with external quality officers as required.
- Review operations incident reports for corrective action and operational improvement.
- Follow up and approve Root Cause and Corrective Action that fall out of audits and incident reporting.
- Ensure all regulatory standards are met including environmental requirements
- Ensure safety policy and procedures are enforced.
- Enable constant improvement throughout area of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
