What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admission Intake Specialist position at Surfpoint Recovery LLC?
Surfpoint Recovery is looking for a Full Time Admissions Intake Specialist as we grow and expand. Surfpoint Recovery is a cutting edge substance-use-disorder (SUD) treatment center located in Coney Island, Brooklyn NY. We are an OASAS-licensed and CARF-certified Center of Excellence. Surfpoint Recovery offers inpatient detox, withdrawal, and stabilization services, as well as inpatient rehabilitation services for individuals with substance use disorder. The Admissions Intake Specialist is a critical role as one of the first individuals a new patient interacts with. Collecting data while providing wonderful customer service is crucial task.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a Qualified Health Professional (QHP), the employee screens, interviews, and completes all admissions/triage/assessment as needed.
- Engage with insurance companies over eligibility, benefits, and authorization for services.
- Complete all required consent and disclosures documentation with clients and upload to client’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Conduct waived testing for urine as needed.
- Complete admissions Level of Care for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Referral (LOCADTR) under the supervision of a QHP.
- Ensure all required insurance documentation is uploaded to the client’s EMR.
- Secure and document client’s insurance registration/authorization numbers.
- Assure the filing of essential clinical documents are completed in a timely manner.
- Complete and distribute daily census reports to all required disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related work experience
