What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Supervisor position at Surfpoint Recovery LLC?
We are an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder. We are seeking a Operation Supervisor to join our team. The Operation Supervisor will be responsible for providing support to clients to reduce barriers to treatment and keeping clients engaged in addiction treatment services. They will model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills while encouraging and inspiring hope for a client in recovery.
Shift: Saturday & Sunday (3:00pm - 11:00pm)
Shift: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (11:00pm - 7:00am)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure prospective clients are screened in a timely manner and assist with intake process as needed.
- Manage and supervise patient care coordinators and security.
- Transmits instructions from the supervisor to appropriate staff members either orally or in writing and periodically check to ensure that such instructions are being followed.
- Familiar with regulations regarding patient confidentiality
- Responsible for training department staff to complete all necessary task for program operations.
- Ensures staff maintains all patient confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
- Ensure admissions board is updated by informing Admissions Director when discharges, transfers and room changes have taken place.
- Responsible for reporting any undue client incidents to the facility directors.
- Responsible for ensuring the appropriate distribution of metro cards to clients.
- Responsible for scheduling and coverage of front desk and patient care coordinators, during all business hours, and ensuring that there is appropriate coverage.
- Coordinate hospital runs for clients needing x-rays and other services requested by medical.
- Manage break schedule to ensure all staff receive break.
- Assist with providing and monitoring clients phone usage.
- Receive incoming packages from family members for clients.
- Gather/prepare clients’ property for discharge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a related field (Chemical Dependency, Mental Health, etc.)
- Supervisory experience preferred
SKILLS:
- Familiar with rules and regulations regarding client confidentiality/HIPAA
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Independently solve problems and follow through
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills
