What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Brewer position at Surfridge Brewing Company East?
We are seeking a part time brewer to join the Surfridge team. We are family owned brewery restaurant. The timing of the work schedule is fairly flexible but some times (ex: brew days, kegging/canning days etc) would be determined by business needs. We strongly value a work life balance. This is a solo operation with great opportunities to be hands on in everything; recipe formulation, brewing, cellaring, kegging, staff training and occasional events. This is a great opportunity to design beers and take ownership of every step in the operation and have direct customer feedback/interaction. Pay based on experience, starting at $20 an hour.
Duties to include (but not necessarily limited to):
- Brewing
- Recipe Formulaton
- Sanitizing/Cleaning
- Cellaring
- Packaging
- Staff Training
- Inputting operational data into brewery operating software.
- Occasional offsite events (tastings, promotional, etc)
Job Requirements
2-3 years Professional Brewing Experience
Strong Real Professional Brewing Process Knowledge
Brewing Education is a plus
Very Strong modern recipe formulation knowledge
Experience with brewery operating software is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
