The Wayfarer Restaurant is currently seeking a Part-time Expo/Prep Cook to join our growing team! The wage for this position is $18.25 hourly plus tips with great benefits! This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations in the kitchen and dining areas.

Expo Responsibilities:
- Inspect dishes for accuracy, portion, presentation, and temperature before they leave the kitchen.
- Communicate special requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions clearly and accurately.
- Ensure plates are properly garnished and complete before being sent out.
- Monitor timing to avoid delays or back-ups during service.
- Keep the expo line clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
- Assist with coordinating to-go orders or large parties as needed.
Food Prep Responsibilities:
- Preparing all foods in accordance with standard recipes and as specified by the Chef
- Visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of menu items
- Setting up and sanitizing workstations
- Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
- Adhering to sanitation standards
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; or any combination of education and experience
- Six months to one year experience in a similar position or completion of equivalent training is required
- Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Basic Math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
