The Wayfarer Restaurant is looking for an attentive, engaging, and service-oriented Host to join our restaurant team! This position pays $17.00 an hour with flexible schedule. SUMMER BONUS - Earn an extra $1.50 an hour for every hour worked June 1 - Sept. 1, 2025.
As Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for seating arriving guests promptly and process cashier transactions accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities
- Has a friendly, personable style with guests. Anticipates customer needs before they ask
- Complies with all standards regarding greeting and seating of guests, such as staying within two feet of guests while walking to the table; pulling out chairs for guests, handing guests an open menu, introducing the server and up-selling any specials
- Has full knowledge of and promotes menu, facilities and services, hours of operation and promotional programs
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience with restaurant computer systems useful
- Experience handling cash and credit card procedures
- Basic Math skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
