Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment.
- Take vital signs, administer medication, and perform basic life support procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Utilize electronic systems to document patient information and update records.
- Assist with patient scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including answering phones and handling correspondence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a medical assisting program or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current certification in Medical Assisting (CMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Experience working in a hospital setting or similar healthcare environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and coding systems.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of dermatology and the ability to assist with skin-related procedures.
