Job Title : Diesel Mechanic – 1st Shift

Shift : 1st Shift (4 : 30 AM until completed – varies depending on workload)
Hourly Rate : Based on Experience (BOE)
Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team on the 1st shift. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines in vehicles and machinery such as trucks, forklifts, and trailers. Your work will ensure the proper functioning of the diesel engine systems, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities :
- Vehicle Inspection : Perform thorough inspections of diesel-powered vehicles to identify potential problems with engine components, brakes, steering, transmission, and other systems.
- Diagnostic Testing : Use diagnostic tools to read fault codes, pinpoint mechanical issues, and determine necessary repairs.
- Maintenance Tasks : Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid level checks to keep vehicles and equipment in optimal condition.
- Repair Work : Disassemble and repair malfunctioning engine components, including pistons, valves, bearings, and fuel systems, to restore functionality.
- Part Replacement : Order and install replacement parts as needed to ensure the timely completion of repairs.
- Testing and Quality Checks : Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functionality, address any remaining issues, and ensure the vehicle is safe for operation.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed repair records and work orders to track service history and ensure compliance with safety standards.
