Food Manufacturing Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Managing a production line
• Coaching employees
• Monitoring production progress
• Enforcing rules and ensuring quality compliance
• Must have strong communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively
• Trouble shoot issues to eliminate downtime
• Responsible for coordinating production with engineering, warehouse, suppliers and customers
• Ensures compliance with FDA, AIB, BRC and other relevant standards
• Monitor production standards to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality and meet customer objectives
• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
• Ensure production lines are running up to standards daily
• Make sure Bill of Materials are being followed for product running on production lines
• Ensure production schedules are being met
• Ensure all SOP’s and safety prevention procedures are being followed
• Conduct weekly safety meetings with hourly employees
• Directly supervise a group(s) of hourly personnel performing various production duties on multiple lines
• Analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect and resolve production problems
• Study operations sequence, material flow, and product information to determine worker functions and responsibilities as they relate to production
• Ensure continuous improvement with production and preventative maintenance for equipment
• Take necessary steps to control potentially unsafe conditions or poor-quality product
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma
• At least 5 years in Industrial Supervision experience
• Stand for extended periods
• Engage in bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent attention to detail
