Job Description:
- Join metal parts through tungsten inert gas welding
- Apply techniques to produce exceptionally strong joints on structures
- Read and interpret welding codes and blueprints
- Operate specialized hand and power tools
- Install torch tips, filler rods, and flux according to the width of the metal
- Monitor and regulate gas flow and pressure
- Arrange, measure, and align workpieces before welding
- Ensure welding equipment adheres to safety guidelines
- Reinforce welds by conducting pre-heating and post-heating treatments
- Comply with health and safety protocol and always wear protective gear
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Position Requirements:
- At least 1 year MIG experience required
- Must have welding helmet/shield
- Knowledge of tools and equipment needed to perform tasks
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills
- Problem-solver
- May be required to stand for long periods
- Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail
