Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Overview:
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, and systems in a facility or plant. They perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment.

Follow scheduled maintenance plans to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Lubricate, clean, and adjust machines and equipment to maintain proper functionality.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs to machinery or equipment.

Troubleshoot problems with industrial equipment, motors, controls, and systems.

Replace or repair damaged parts, components, or machinery as needed.

System Monitoring:

Monitor and test the performance of mechanical and electrical systems to identify potential problems before they cause failure.

Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely manner to prevent disruptions to production or operations.

Equipment Setup & Installation:

Assist with the installation of new equipment or machinery, including setting up machinery, wiring electrical systems, and calibrating controls.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in the maintenance management system (CMMS).

Report any issues or delays to supervisors and provide updates on completed tasks and upcoming needs.

Keep inventory of tools, parts, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.

Work closely with other departments (production, engineering, safety) to ensure equipment uptime and minimize disruptions.

Communicate with vendors or suppliers for ordering parts or obtaining specialized services.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.

Proficiency with tools and machinery commonly used in maintenance tasks, such as wrenches, drills, welders, multimeters, and diagnostic tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
