Position Summary: Extrusion Operator
The Extrusion Operator plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and quality for our extrusion processes. This position requires overseeing the entire extrusion process, ensuring equipment is well-maintained, and meeting safety and quality standards as per guidelines from the Quality, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), and Operations departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and take ownership of the extrusion process, ensuring all machinery operates according to established procedures.
- Implement Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damages to Maintenance and Quality departments.
- Maintain and follow safety standards set by EHS.
- Oversee the inspection, separation, and control of non-conforming materials.
- Set up and operate extrusion machinery, ensuring all parameters meet product specifications, including material use, hose dimensions, brandings, and line speed.
- Fine-tune production parameters as needed and request Quality Auditor approval before starting production.
- Ensure proper machine setup to meet quality and performance standards, working closely with Quality Auditors for secondary quality control.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to adjust and secure machinery as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for work performed in the production area.
- Actively intervene during operations to resolve issues, as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- May require completing an apprenticeship or formal training in the field.

Shift Schedule:
- Available for shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Salary:
- $52,000 annually.
