What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Specialist position at Surge?
Columbia Woodlands is accepting applications for a Guest Services Specialist to maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction. In this role, you will assist our guests in checking in and out, delivering meals and beverages, performing property checks while providing excellent customer service. You will also coordinate with our housekeeping, grounds, kitchen, and office staff to ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience throughout their stay. Applicants must have experience in hospitality, preferably in a large hotel or resort.
- Always maintain an energetic attitude and portray a positive company image.
- Must be organized and thorough with a strong attention to detail.
- Engage in professional and friendly communications with guests and coworkers.
- Assist guests with bookings
- Greet guests with a smile and answer their questions as required.
- Responsible for checking guests in and helping with bags.
- Assist guests with information about the resort, menus and activities during their stay.
- Records orders and inputs on POS System.
- Review service requests/special requests for arrivals.
- Prepares check-in folders and necessary items for the week's arrivals.
- Responds to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
- Up-sell packages, food offerings, and events to guests.
- Other duties as requested by Management.
- Must enjoy nature and being outside.
Full - Time position. Evening and Weekend availability
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2 plus years of hospitality experience or related experience preferred.
- Must have excellent customer relationship skills.
