What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Tech position at Surge?
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment throughout the facility.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of production lines by addressing mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Perform general building repairs when necessary (smaller projects are outsourced to contractors).
- Work in a physically demanding, industrial environment, which may include exposure to noise, odors, and heavy machinery.
- Maintain a focus on safety, adhering to company policies and industry standards for all maintenance and repair tasks.
- Support production teams to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product output.
Shifts:
- First Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday (occasional Saturday work required).
- Third Shift: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday (with some flexibility, and optional Saturday work).
Compensation:
- Pay rate starting at $20 per hour, based on experience.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working in a challenging, dirty, and noisy industrial environment.
- Able to handle physically demanding work and long hours as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role ideal for candidates with experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
