Maintenance Mechanic
Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. This role ensures safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems are followed to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions

- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Carry out simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Utilize mechanic skills, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Conduct a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in the performance of duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- 4 years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills. PLC experience and HVAC are considered a plus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The expected hours of work are to be determined based on production needs and may include overtime as required.
