What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Tech-3rd Shift position at Surge?
3rd Shift position available (6pm-6:00am)
Responsibilities
• Work with Assembly Conveyors, Vibration/Sonic Welders, Punch Presses, Clip Cells, Torque Guns, Offload Lift Assists, E-check testers, AGVs, robots and secondary equipment, and other assembly related equipment on tooling and process issues to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Maintain 5s standards.
• Maintain, monitor, and improve the department processes and product quality while processes are running.
• Work with Process Engineering to reduce downtime and improve process efficiency.
• Participate in improving tool changeover times, by using SMED, and conducting product changes with minimum to no downtime.
• Identify problems due to equipment and tooling and report them to Process Engineer using abnormality tags.
• Able to address minor processing issues with no supervision.
• Participate in maintaining tooling and equipment through Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs.
• Able to complete OK1P as back-up when Gap Leaders are unavailable.
• Focus on continuous improvements using the Improvement Ideas program.
• Work flexibly to meet customer requirements, demands and needs.
• Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
• Conform to requirements established in Louisville Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions;
• Shutdown all equipment at the end of the week following safety procedures
• Restart all equipment at the start of the week following safety procedures
• Able to perform PM levels 1,2 with no supervision.
• Able to assist maintenance or senior process technicians for PM level 3 and 4.
• Ability to pass PT test with relevant knowledge and experience to move from “Junior” to “Senior” level
Knowledge / Skills
• Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
• Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety and Environment skills
• Strong technical problem solving skills with knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical equipment.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• Proficient level of English required
Education / Experience
• Technical diploma preferred
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
