Screw Machine Operator

SCREW MACHINE OPERATOR  

payrate is $22- $26 based on experience

7am-4pm Monday- Friday

Responsibilities

1. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot screw machines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
2. Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
3. Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and quality, utilizing precision measuring tools.
4. Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure reliability and longevity.
5. Document production output, machine performance, and any quality issues, reporting findings to supervisors.
6. Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and implement best practices.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining is a plus.
2. 2 years of experience operating screw machines or similar CNC equipment.
3. Strong understanding of machining processes and quality control standards.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Preferred:

1. Experience with multi-spindle screw machines.
2. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
3. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

1. Proficient in operating screw machines, with a focus on precision and safety.
2. Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
3. Basic understanding of CNC programming and machining software.
