Job Title: Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing (Plastics Production)
Location: Baltic, OH
Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Subject to change once supervisor training is complete)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily production operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial to ensuring that production goals, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will lead and coordinate the efforts of machine operators and the mixing department, ensuring smooth operations on multiple production lines. Once trained, the Shift Supervisor will have the responsibility of managing multiple shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Production: Oversee daily production activities across multiple production lines, ensuring that output, quality, and safety targets are met.
- Team Leadership: Assign tasks to machine operators and production workers, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance to ensure productivity and safety.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Troubleshoot and Maintain Equipment: Monitor and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on plastic pellets to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Production Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and inventory documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and improve production processes.
- Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe work environment by conducting routine inspections and enforcing housekeeping practices.
- Communication: Relay production goals, operational issues, and process improvements to management for further action.
- Hiring and Training: Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating production staff to ensure the team is well-prepared and aligned with company goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in plastics or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of plastic pellet production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
- Shift Flexibility: As supervisor training is completed, the shift schedule may change to accommodate multiple shifts.

- Line 1: Dedicated Clear FDA Production Line for producing high-quality PVC compound.
- Line 2: General PVC Line focused on high-output production of PVC pellets for high-volume markets.
- Line 3: Profile Line with controlled mixing and dispersion capabilities for precision processing.
- Line 4: Automated system for consistent and precise reprocessing and reclaim applications.
