Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with both MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques, and will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper parameters for each project.
- Inspect and clean welds, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Repair damaged or defective parts using welding techniques.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished welds and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of welding safety protocols.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding tools and materials.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in a manufacturing or construction setting.
- Protective gear (welding helmet, gloves, etc.) is required at all times.
