Electronic Technician (Oilfield)

We take great pride in our commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation leading to The Electronic Technician, Level 2 will be responsible for performing repairs to electronics and electrical systems on Company equipment and trucks. Under close supervision, work includes preventive maintenance (PM) inspection and the rebuild, replacement and repair of components and systems.continued improvements in well performance.

Detailed Description:

• Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, rules, practices, and guidelines
• Perform routine troubleshooting and repair work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and trucks, including inspecting, rebuilding, replacing components of a system, as directed
• Adhere to internal and external standards and regulations of safely operating and maintaining assigned Company equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on mounted equipment and vehicles on a regular basis under supervised direction
• Prepare daily repair orders associated with repair, maintenance, and inspection to ensure proper record keeping for all work done
• Perform rigging up and rigging down duties
• Represent the Company and our values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all interactions

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Able to successfully meet pre-employment testing requirements, including but not limited to pulmonary function testing; physical requirements screened through an Essential Functions Test (EFT); wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a respirator; and a background check
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all designated times
• Must be able to provide own basic set of tools
• Possess ability to perform inspections and repairs on electrical and electronic devices
• Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English, and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English along with the ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with all employees at different levels both in the office and in the field
• Demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when required
• Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to work closely with others and under time‐sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations
• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, to make job related calculations
• Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
• Willing to work extended schedules that may include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays in different weather conditions
• Ability to travel as needed to other offices and work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to provide own basic set of tools
• Internal Applicants: 6 months’ experience as an Electronic Technician 1, successfully meeting all competency requirements
• External Applicants: Certificate of Completion from an accredited technical or trade school specializing in electronics repair, troubleshooting and/or diagnostics with 1 years’ experience as an Electronic Technician in cementing/fracturing industry or related position; OR 2 years’ experience as an Electronic Technician in cementing/fracturing industry or related position
• Must have and maintain valid state-issued driver’s license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle and meet the requirements of the Company’s vehicle program, policy and/or guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry; familiar with oilfield equipment

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
