What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Trainer position at Surgenex?
The National Trainer (NT) supports Phoenix Donor Services by coordinating the acquisition of donor birth tissue and training the Donor Recovery Specialist team members in compliance with Surgenex, FDA, and AATB policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for approaching Birth Mothers to provide education and guidance on the donation process, obtain required consent, and determine donor suitability based on Federal guidelines. The NT will ensure birth tissue is recovered and packaged aseptically. The NT will act as an acquisition representative fostering a positive and professional relationships with donors, hospitals, physicians, and staff.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Degree in science related field (Biology, Chemistry, Nursing) preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years related experience in organ procurement, tissue banking, blood banking, or birth tissue donation (preferred).
Knowledge of AATB, FDA, and other state/federal regulations. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft office suite.
Certificates & Licenses: AATB CTBS certification.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of aseptic technique. Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
