The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.

We are seeking a full time Sterile Processing Technician for a fast-paced multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. Work hours 10-hour Mon-Thur 0730-6:00pm variable dependent on surgery needs. (Occasional Fridays optional)
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year experience in sterile processing preferred
- Certification strongly preferred (or will obtain certification within the first year of employment)
- Possess the ability to function independently in a fast-paced multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center
- Possess excellent communication skills and a positive, team focused attitude as well as the ability to remain focused on patient safety and excellence in all aspects of job duties
- Functions in a highly dynamic environment while maintaining the ability to remain calm and prioritize appropriately during periods of increased demand.

Duties
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment, including tracking usage and restocking as necessary.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during the handling of sterile items to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand specific needs for surgical procedures.
- Document all sterilization processes and maintain compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and education related to sterile processing practices.
