Essential Functions:
Clinical Responsibilities:

Take medical histories and record vital signs.

Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations.

Assist physicians during patient examinations.
- Prepare exam rooms, anticipate special equipment needs, and assist in setting up for procedures.

Document current medications.

Accurately enter patient data into electronic medical records (EMR).

Obtain and record vital signs.
-
Complete visit documentation and surgical notes in a timely manner.

Assist with patient check-in and check-out.
-
Schedule procedures and coordinate patient appointments.

Manage administrative tasks such as faxing and scanning medical records.

Ensure timely processing of cardiac and medical clearances for ASC procedures, including patient contact and documentation.

Maintain hand hygiene and adhere to standard precaution guidelines.
Administrative Responsibilities:

Perform routine administrative tasks to maintain clinic efficiency.

Research, respond to, document, and complete all clinical tasking.

Ensure faxed medical documents are processed in accordance with workflow.

Keep exam rooms clean and prepared for the next patient.

Maintain appropriate documentation for all patient interactions and procedures.
Qualifications:

Certified EMT with active licensure.

Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.

Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Ability to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients in the clinic setting.
