POSITION OVERVIEW:
Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, replace, and perform maintenance and inspection on environmental control systems and equipment. Operate and maintain boilers and auxiliary equipment such as air compressors, generators, and related equipment. Perform unplanned and preventative maintenance tasks. Operate and maintain all environmental control equipment. RTU's, AHU's, Exhaust Fans, AC units, Med-refrigerators, freezers, etc. Performs daily rounding in all critical facility spaces. Works within the CMS Maintenance ticketing system. (i.e. replacing ceiling tiles, assists with departmental moves, groundskeeping, etc.) Performs weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks to be compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. (i.e. generator testing, inspecting fire life safety equipment, medical gas checks)
EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, installation and repair.
- Experience in a medical setting, or with medical equipment is preferred
- 1 year experience with cryogenic refrigeration systems, preferred
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- A valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
- A current Montana Low Pressure Boiler Operators license is preferred
- EPA universal refrigerant handling license, preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Current working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Proficient in record keeping, data analysis and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Must be familiar with the use of basic HVAC hand tools.
- Ability to work with a variety of equipment, analyze and solve complex problems
