JOB TITLE: Patient Service Representative
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Service Representative handles inbound and outbound calls in a timely and effective manner. The position will promote the business processes and support a standard of excellent patient care relating to innovative and superior vision correction care
ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Addresses patient inquiries and concerns about appointment scheduling, company services, insurance coverage and payment methods
- Gathers relevant information based on qualifying questions of patients to determine priority of need and proper place of treatment
- Participates in the recall of patients who have been inactive for an interval established by the Director of Patient Services
- Works with supervisor to ensure goals are being met such as scheduling and patient satisfaction
- Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing on an as needed basis
- Creates and provides a positive, accountable and inspired work environment for others
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized and a team player
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and goal driven
