Responsibilities
- Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing necessary interventions.
- Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
- Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and machinery, following procedures for reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
- Speak up with safety concerns, acting as patients' advocate.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- At least one year of experience in GI, OR, and/or medical/surgical nursing.
- Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
- BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
