Accountabilities / Responsibilities
JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Making, receiving, and directing phone calls.
- Maintaining medical records operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes; accurately filing and retrieving medical records
- Interacting with admitting areas and physicians’ offices; creates record folders.
- Answering telephone inquires appropriately.
- Ensuring medical record availability by routing records to physicians and other authorized hospital staff maintaining chart location system.
- Assembling medical records.
- Analyzes completion of medical records, records all deficiencies and assigns appropriate area for completion.
- Maintaining chart location and deficiency systems
- The essential function of this job requires attendance at the work place.
