What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Care Practitioner (PA/NP)- Acute Care Service position at Surgical Specialists of Charlotte, P.A.?
Surgical Specialists of Charlotte is seeking an Advanced Care Practitioner (PA/NP) to join our program. The position is primarily based at Matthews Medical Center working with an existing care team of Physicians and ACPs. The position will be responsible for supporting all acute care and general surgery at this facility, including in-house general surgery and ED consults. The position is primarily hospital-based and the schedule will vary as we grow to a full complement of ACPs.
Typical duties include:
- Daily rounds, surgical consults, and patient admissions & discharges
- Operative first-assisting
- Clinic duties consisting of one 2-hour office session per week for follow up/post-op care
Preferred:
- Prior experience of 1-2 years in general surgery
- EPIC and NextGen experience preferred.
Required:
- Emergency care, wound care, bedside procedures, and post-operative rounding
- Certified in ACLS
