Description
Ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years collector experience preferably in a hospital setting.
Research claim denials, identify errors in billing codes, and initiate appeals processes when necessary. Reach out to insurance carriers to check the status of submitted claims, address claim denials, and request payment on outstanding bills. High level of accuracy in reviewing medical records, billing data, and insurance EOBs.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Collector experience 2 – 5 years preferred in a hospital setting. Understand the reimbursement methodology of managed care plans.
Special Skill: Microsoft Office, Computer literacy, input data into computer. Clerical skills, typing, alphabetical and numerical filing.
Physical Requirements: Walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
