Position Summary : Under the direction of the Assistant Administrator, the Junior Business Office Associate provides support to Senior Business Office Associate and Revenue Cycle Coordinator. Junior Business Office Associate assists with general front office duties such as greeting / checking-in patients, managing telephone calls, ensuring insurance authorizations are obtained in a timely manner, informing patients of the financial policies, collecting patient co-payments and / or deductibles for the services rendered, and ensures that any billing / coding is conducted in a timely manner. This position is also a combination of duties related to record keeping including, but not limited to, the creation, maintenance, and preparation of medical records for storage filing, retrieving medical records, ensuring medical records are complete, conducting medical record audits and assisting in the assurance that all records are kept in accordance with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care standards and government rules and regulations. This person assists with coordinating the scheduling of surgical and / or sedation procedures at the request of surgeons, anesthesiologist, and other staff. They collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure anesthesia coverage for all scheduled surgical procedures. They are accountable to establish benchmarks and performance standards as applicable to duties performed.
Qualifications Requirements :
Minimum Education / Training / Licensure / Certifications :
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Receives BLS certification within six (6) of hire.
Minimum Experience :

May complete insurance forms, verify insurance coverage, and secure other information if needed.Answers all inquiries regarding patient accounts.Processes subpoenas, court orders and routine request for records. Verifies accuracy of patient information.Receives scheduling requests form surgeons, anesthesiologists, or other office staff.
