Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the operating room, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that all surgical supplies are adequately stocked and available.
- Implement supply chain management strategies to optimize procurement processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Coordinate production planning for surgical procedures to ensure timely availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Utilize MRP systems to track inventory levels and forecast future supply needs.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to operating room management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the operating room environment.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in inventory control and supply chain management.
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a healthcare or surgical environment.
- Strong background in inventory management, including familiarity with supply chain processes.
- Experience in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of production planning systems and MRP software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with medical staff, suppliers, and administrative personnel.
