What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Housekeeping position at Surlean Foods?
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for general custodial care and sanitation activities of the Surlean facility under general supervision. Performs all duties safely, accurately, and meets all set productivity goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all custodial duties throughout the production facility which includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, scrubbing, shoveling, disinfecting all surfaces and mopping.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility to include clean up all spills.
- Remove trash or other property damaging elements (i.e. nails and glass).
- Clean any/all restrooms when needed to maintain sanitary conditions. This includes the cleaning of urinals, toilets, sinks, counters and countertops, mirrors, sweeping and mopping of floors, and restocking paper dispensers.
- Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of hallways and travel aisles.
- Report to the supervisor immediately any unfixable/unsafe issues.
- Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Associate Handbook, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirement
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must pass a functional capacity test.
- Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to details.
Working Conditions:
Frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties.
Work conditions vary, quitting time will vary based upon production needs, and flexibility is critical.
