Speech Language Pathologist Job Description
We provide high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and teens with autism at Surpass Behavioral Health.
Job Summary:
This part-time Speech Language Pathologist role supports clients in our Elizabethtown, KY clinic, with potential to grow to full time.
Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and complete required components for client funding sources to provide Speech and Language Therapy evaluation.
- Evaluate and treat assigned caseloads for speech, language, oral motor, feeding, swallowing, voice, fluency, articulation, and/or social communication disorders.
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plan goals.
- Coordinate care with clinical ABA and PBSS staff on assessment and implementation of AAC devices as needed.
- Deliver services in a client's home, community, or clinic setting as described in the client's plan of care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited institution.
- SLP-CCC certification in good standing with ASHA preferred.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state where you work required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA practices and adherence to ASHA ethical code.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently between seated and standing positions, and to lift items up to 50 lbs occasionally.
