We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Store Manager to lead our Chambersburg, PA retail location. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer service. As the Store Manager , you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that the team maintains Surplus City ’s high standards and reputation for excellent customer service. You will work closely with, and motivate, your team to create an engaging shopping experience for customers while ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. This role requires a strategic thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage various tasks concurrently, and maintain a positive atmosphere. By fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence, you will play a crucial role in shaping the store’s success and contributing to overall company growth. Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Oversee daily operations of the store and manage staff performance.
- Train and manage team members to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained and perform regular stock audits.
- Maintain store appearance and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as special events or high-traffic times.
- Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication and evaluations.
- Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies and / or management.
- Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
- Ensures inventory data is correct by performing inventory counts and checks.
- Collaborates with other store managers and owners to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.
- Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting and is a safe working environment.
- Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
