Job Description - Summary : Student worker will provide customer service, helping patrons with library needs, such as locating books / materials, checking out or in books / material, etc., as well as some light cleaning.
- Students must be enrolled in AT LEAST 6 credit hours to qualify for FWS Program. This is a part-time opportunity. Students may work up to 15 hours per week, depending on their unmet need on their FASFA.
IMPORTANT NOTICE : Federal Work Study is federally funded need-based aid to assist students with the cost of attending college. This listing is intended for students that will attend Surry Community College during the 2024-2025 academic year and have need determined by the federal government. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
General Qualifications : Basic computer and good customer service skills.
Required Qualifications : Previous customer service and / or library experience.
Preferred Qualifications : Candidate must be willing to work with children & have good customer service skills.
Physical Demands : Light cleaning such as vacuuming and cleaning the restrooms.
Work Hours : Up to 15 hours a week
Compensation : Off Campus : $12.50 / hour
