We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.
The Embosser B Operator will perform various duties necessary to assist the embosser operator in processing material through embossing machines to emboss film with a desired finish or to laminate additional layers of film or paper onto the base film.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and utilize embosser safety equipment and procedures
- Know and use required personal protective equipment
- Understand RCRA and MSDS/SDS labeling and “Right to Know” requirements.
- Know all embosser emergency procedures
- Know the location procedure for fire alarms, eyewash station and safety blanket
- Understand and use procedures for setup, startup, production and shutdown for each material ran on the embosser
- Know how to safely use all required material handling equipment
- Understand and use procedures for changing and cleaning embossing and rubber rolls as necessary
- Understand all windup panel functions
- Understand all let off control equipment functions
- Know and use all roll-splicing procedures
- Know and use all finished roll handling and packaging procedures
- Train and assist others as needed
- Learn skills, procedures or processes for advancement and improvement
- Work with scheduling and supervision to optimize quality and output
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area
- Perform any additional duties as requested to meet business or production conditions or changes
- Understand the quality system and all quality procedures relevant to this position
- Observe the sheet and understand the quality defects to look out for
- Document and report all mechanical and electrical problems to maintenance
- Report any and all quality or task difficulties to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
- Available for OT as needed
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Frequently communicates and exchanges work information with others
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills to occasionally produce memorandum and other long documents

- Ability to work together as a team in a high-performance work environment to complete the job on time.
- Mechanical aptitude
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
- Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
- Ability to detect, distinguish, or determine the source of a smell
- Exposure or works around chemical processing, unregulated temperature, dusty conditions
Travel Requirements:
Time spent away from home or typical office location.
