Primary Function: The Foreman will over see and coordinate the day-to-day operations of projects that involve the inspection, remediation and removal of metallic natural gas pipelines attached to bridges. The Foreman will manage and support crew members ensuring safety and compliance, and that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and supervisor daily activities on job sites
  • Understand and communicate project goals and timelines.
  • Act as a point of contract for resolving conflicts or challenges that arise day to day.
  • Lead and manage a team of skilled laborers, CDL drivers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Inspect, remove or remediate piping underneath or attached to bridges.
  • Work with and encourage team productivity to meet or exceed scheduling goals.
  • Learn and follow company and industry safety rules and regulations to ensure onsite safety.
  • Work with co-workers, Superintendents, and manager to learn new tasks.
  • Operate bridge access equipment.
  • Ensure and inspect quality of work.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Basic math skills to assist with measurements and computations.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies.
  • Ability to manage, plan, schedule, and undertake work safely, independently, and professionally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, clients, and property owners.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused and effective in pressure situations.
  • Ability to take and pass Operator Qualification (OQ) covered tasks.
  • Ability to travel and work at various job sites throughout the United States for various durations approximately 90% of the year.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Completion of a vocational program is preferred.
  • Class A or B CDL license or the ability to obtain one within first twelve (12)months is preferred.

Additional:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and maintain vehicle insurance as required.

Physical Demands:

This position performs duties out-of-doors in changing environments, exposure to adverse weather. and traversing rugged conditions.

  • Extensive physical exertion, such as bending and twisting, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying equipment of materials as needed.
  • May require standing for long periods of time
  • Work from varying heights and, at times, over water.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport materials and/or equipment.
  • Lift items over 50 pounds, with or without the use of mechanical aids.
  • Use of precision or semi-precision tools.
