Job Description
Survival Flight is seeking a full-time Parts Department Assistant to work in our Aviation Hangar in Batesville, AR. The Parts Department Assistant is responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and maintaining records of parts and supplies in the Aviation Hangar. Work closely with mechanics and technicians to ensure the correct parts are available. Other duties may include stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and tracking shipments. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Keep shelves and parts bins organized.
- Unpack and inspect incoming shipments and paperwork
- Verify information against packing lists, invoices, or other records
- Update the inventory tracking program
- Ship parts to bases and out for repair
- Assist in working with the Aviation Mechanics to ensure they are receiving the required parts and supplies
- Assist in procuring parts and supplies from vendors
- Shipping and Receiving clerk for the 145 Repair Station
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and write English
- Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
- Able to interact successfully with co-workers
- Recognize the need for urgency
