CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, (1.0 FTE) exempt (to include evening and weekend work as the program demands). The position is grant funded and contingent on the availability of new and continuing grant funding.
The Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program (SAOP), a growing nonprofit rape crisis/domestic violence program, believes that everyone has a right to a life free of violence. SAOP serves 5 counties in the Southeast Ohio region and is expanding its reach and programs to include crisis intervention, residential services, and social enterprise divisions. As such, SAOP is searching for a Crisis Intervention Specialist/Advocate to provide direct service to victims of sexual violence, dating and domestic violence, human trafficking and stalking.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Trafficking & Text Line Case Manager is an exempt full-time (1.0 FTE), benefits eligible position tasked with providing direct service provision and coordination of community response regarding sexual violence, dating/ domestic violence, human trafficking, and stalking. General duties include, but are not limited to, providing services to survivors during regular office hours and scheduled periods of evening/overnight response for face-to-face and phone/hotline advocacy. This position will significantly expand and enhance services for human trafficking survivors, introducing a new, targeted program for survivors identified with the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Duties can include comprehensive case management, crisis intervention services, emergency shelter and housing solutions. This position is also responsible for supporting and staffing the text line 50% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-year experience in case management, crisis intervention and working knowledge/expertise of trauma/ survivorship or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; valid driver's license, good driving record, and vehicle suitable for transportation

REGULAR DUTIES:
Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Provision of direct services to survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and stalking. Services can include:
- Mobile Advocacy
- Transportation
- Advocacy/ Accompaniment
- In-Person and Hotline Advocacy
- Legal/ law enforcement Advocacy
- Medical Advocacy
- Personal Advocacy
- Crisis Intervention/Stabilization
- Service Coordination and Referral
- Establishing and coordinating relationships with community organizations
- Working to create a coordinated community response to violence within the communities
- Maintain relationships with social service providers and community resources to ensure outreach materials are available and displayed throughout the communities
- Develop, create, and implement policies and procedures related to providing a daytime crisis text line available to survivors.
- Staff the crisis text line between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, according to scheduling with supervisor, for at least 20 hours per week.
- Provide all proper documentation for client interactions.
- Provide crisis intervention services via the text line in accordance with the Text Line Policies and Procedures, as well as the Direct Service Manual
- Provide referrals from the text line to advocates or outside community partners for follow-up.
- Provide outreach and education to all five counties related to the text line.
- Participate in training and continuing education as outlined by our Rape Crisis Core Standards, including 40 hours of initial advocacy, and 30 hours every two years ongoing.
- Collaborate with SAOP staff to provide information about the text line, provide text line training to other staff, and find coverage for PTO or other away time to cover the line.
- Attend group supervision and individual supervision to ensure quality services and prevent burnout.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Base salary is $48,000 per year with monthly health expense stipend ($518.57 single with no dependents/$1037.15 married or has dependents), 5% base salary pension contribution (employer-sponsored), short/long-term disability and life insurance (employer-sponsored), PTO, and work-related travel reimbursements ($.58 per mile).
