What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at SurvivorNet?
SurvivorNet is looking for a driven, dynamic, creative editor with strong producer sensibilities who has a keen attention to detail and can shepherd a video project from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will be able to act as an editor and a story producer simultaneously. You should have experience across different genres creatively, including journalism, and be able to take content from an initial conversation, transcript or script to an executed deliverable while working with in-house executives and producers to form a cohesive vision.
- Well-versed in Premiere, along with the rest of Adobe CC software, After Effects specifically
- Must be a self-starter, great problem solver, organized, meticulous, resourceful, and organized
- Creative sense that thrives across a variety of genres including short form and long form documentary style videos, information-based videos, and episodic content.
- Technical knowledge of codecs and video encoding and interest learning the backend technology including player and streaming softwares
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Able to mix different media into a complete experience (video, graphics, music)
- Interest in typography, color, composition, compositing, key framing and title design
- Color correction and sound design experience is a plus
- Occasionally participate in live action shoots as DIT or on-set playback
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
