We have an immediate need for entry level SUE Technicians based out of Tampa, FL.
Applicants must be available for regular out of town work, willing to learn a new industry and not opposed to manual labor.
Requirements
- Able to perform physical labor (lift and carry up to 50 pounds, squat, bend, scoop, dig trenches, standing for extended periods of time).
- Willing to work in the elements (heat, rain, wind) for the majority of shift.
- Must be willing to learn utility equipment and safety procedures.
- Available for night and weekend work as needed.
- Ability to travel Monday - Friday (up to 60% of the time).
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history and reliable transportation to work.
- Must be able to complete a drug test.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of senior SUE technician.
- Learn to use various field equipment (ground penetrating radar, probe rod, vacuum excavation truck and equipment).
- Mark utilities with flags and/or paint to produce field drawings and sketches.
- Hand dig holes using shovel (as needed).
- Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
