Job Description

Position available for an experienced Professional Surveyor with 5 years proven work record. This position requires the Surveyor to work with clients and our SUE groups to complete SUE deliverables, survey control networks, boundary surveys, ROW surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic and engineering design surveys. The candidate should understand advanced survey concepts and philosophies and be experienced in various software programs. The ability and desire to manage and lead the field and office technicians to ensure project success by meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and achieving quality standards is a must. The candidate must be a self-starter, possess tremendous dedication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Must be able to work within a team environment and be a technical lead in all aspects of survey-related software.
Identify and recommend technology advancements, software / hardware improvements, and process and standards updates to senior management.
Supervise and mentor survey staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
Must be able to manage staff, budgets, and project timelines.
Must have good communication skills.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in land surveying.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project progress and compliance.

Qualifications

Professional Land Surveyor License in Colorado.

Professional Land Surveyor in Texas; other states a plus.

Project Management experience in a wide range of Survey project types including CDOT, TXDOT, Energy, Renewables, Electric Transmission, Railroad, and Civil Infrastructure.

MicroStation / Inroads Suite / Open Roads or ACAD Civil 3D survey experience.

Trimble Business Center experience and knowledge is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc.).

GIS experience is a plus.

Proven experience in land surveying with a strong understanding of GIS technologies.

Strong mathematical skills including algebra and trigonometry.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
