Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Help Desk Analyst to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to users, ensuring that all computer hardware and software issues are resolved efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various operating systems, including Linux, as well as experience with LAN setups and VPN configurations.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues, responding to user inquiries in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer management, operating systems, and network connectivity.
- Assist users with the installation and configuration of applications within the Office suite.
- Maintain documentation of support requests using the Remedy ticketing system to track issues and resolutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance on computer hardware and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate users on best practices for using technology effectively within the organization.
Skills
- Proficient in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
- Experience providing IT support in a professional environment.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, particularly Linux.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Knowledge of computer management practices and tools, including ticketing systems like Remedy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
