Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Host/Host to join our team for primarily morning weekday shifts, but open availability for evenings and weekends as well. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and creating a positive dining experience.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide menus
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Communicate effectively with guests to ensure their needs are met
- Answer phone calls and take reservations with professionalism and courtesy
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area
Requirements:
- Prior experience in guest relations or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to assist guests effectively
- Proficiency in using POS systems, preferably Aloha POS
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work in a restaurant or hotel setting
