Sushi I is in need of an experienced sushi chef to take on the sous role!
We are a small, cozy sushi restaurant located in Riverstone in Coeur d'alene, Idaho. Come join our team and help us create and serve quality driven sushi rolls under high standards, backed by competitive pay and benefits!
The responsibilities of Sushi I second in command is a short list that demands skills and genuine effort:
-inventory and quality control
-break down and portion whole fish
-oversee prepwork
-manage the sushi bar
-entertain guests at the sushi bar
-know the menu
-keep the sushi bar clean and tidy to health code
Are you qualified?
The ideal sous sushi chef will be able to breakdown whole fish including, at minimum, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, fluke, mackerel, sea breams, and show skills/experience on nigiri and sashimi plating.
Must be extemely detail oriented.
The chef must also be able to communicate clearly with all staff.
50 hours a week is expected for the salary range posted.
A portfolio or pictures of applicant's work that shows nigiri and sashimi plating will be requested.
PTO is offered after a period of employment
