We're looking for a Lead Sushi Chef to bring both skill and leadership to our kitchen. Position Overview
Our Lead Sushi Chef will manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, focusing on high standards of food quality and execution. This position requires a chef who can lead by example, maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen, and inspiring our already strong team. Working closely with our General Manager for administrative support, the Lead Sushi Chef will concentrate on quality control, team leadership, and upholding a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the kitchen team, promoting a supportive and cohesive work culture.
- Quality Control: Ensure every dish meets Sushi Saint’s high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Kitchen Operations: Organize kitchen workflows, maintain timeliness, and uphold sanitation and safety standards.
- Financial Awareness: Collaborate with the GM to manage kitchen finances, control food costs, and meet budgetary goals.
- Execution Excellence: Handle high-paced kitchen demands with professionalism, consistency, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sushi chef with a demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for quality, presentation, and culinary excellence.
- Positive attitude and commitment to fostering a respectful, supportive work culture.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage kitchen operations effectively.
