Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet customers, and ensure a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize the dining experience.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with phone inquiries, ensuring excellent phone etiquette while taking reservations or answering questions.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Aloha, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a professional appearance suitable for a restaurant setting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
