Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and develop menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure freshness.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times to maintain safety standards.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a restaurant setting.
